  1. Add an indication in cPanel's MultiPHP INI Editor that values set there will be overridden by the CL PHP Selector

When PHP Selector is active, the settings applied in the PHP Selector interface override any settings set in MultiPHP INI Editor.
Because CloudLinux PHP Selector does not allow for per domain configurations, this disables the ability to configure PHP options per domain.

We can see this in the documentation here:

If PHP Selector is active, then options set in PHP Selector are applied, and such options have higher priority than options in custom php.ini file in domain docroot. If PHP Selector is disabled, then options set in MultiPHP INI Editor are applied.

    https://docs.cloudlinux.com/index.html?php_selector_cpanel.html

This can be very frustrating for users…

  3. JSON API for DirectAdmin

    Hello,
Currently there is only API to set cloudLinux resource (RAM, CPU, IO, EP...) in cPanel:
    https://docs.cloudlinux.com/index.html?cpanel_whm_json_api.html

I would like this function to be implemented in DirectAdmin.
Can you develop for me the same one in DirectAdmin?

    Thanks.

  4. LVE statistics UI improvements

I'd like to suggest some UI improvements to the Cpanel LVE Manager:

    1. better separation of columns on table, maybe highlighting the "Faults" column with a different background color, as it's what most people look for.

    2. highlight faults in red when > 0.

    3. sort from big -> small first when clicking on column label, then change to small -> big when clicking it a second time. As it is right now, when I want to change column that sorts the table, I click on the desired column label and the smaller values appear first (usually 0's), so I have to click…

  5. Mount points mapping

As one of the options to mount system directories described under:
    http://docs.cloudlinux.com/mount_points.html
could be possibility to have another option to make a directory mapping from original path to different path visible by user.

For e.g. we have a directory:
    /mnt/cache
and we would like to have it visible under user mount points as:
    /var/cache
at this moment it just possible to have 1:1 mount point that has the same path from system and user perspective.

  6. Move TMP Directories

It will be very helpful to have possibility to move users tmp directories located under:
$USER_HOME/.cagefs/tmp to a different partition and sill keep separate directories per each user.

It could be similar feature to:
    http://docs.cloudlinux.com/moving_cagefs-skeleton_directory.html
    http://docs.cloudlinux.com/moving__var_cagefs_directory.html

At this moment there is possibility just to mount one common directory for all users instead of separate ones.

Reason for this feature is to optimize sessions files handling that could be stored of faster partition based on SSD for e.g. and outside /home partition that is always generally more I/O loaded.

Add "BBR Congestion Control" to Kernel CL7. This is a great feature that is already available in Kernel 4.9

  8. Private elastic search instance per user

We would like an interface so that users can launch their own elastic search instance on a private port that only their user can access.

We were hopeing to do this with Kuberdock but since that was abandonned we would like to allow a local elastic search instance per user.

  9. Exact reason for CL site errors in apache error log

I really need the ability to have the apache error log to show the exact reason why a service unavailable error or 503 resource error occurred. This will make troubleshooting these errors, which some of our accounts are getting a lot of, quick and easy and we wont have to open up support tickets each time. For example all we get is below, which doesnt tell us much at all:
[Thu Jun 29 17:56:28.980083 2017] [lsapi:error] [pid 9869:tid 140474580313856] [host domain.com] Error receiving response: ReceiveResponse: receive pkg hdr failed: ReceivePkgHdr: nothing to read from backend socket.

  10. Limitation any process on LVE

please, add option to limit specific proccess like find,Clamd, log and another proccess on LVE.
some proccess like clamd is important but it can use huge of resource. in busy server, we need it be able to run smooth and how long time the process finish its job is not important. the most important is the server be able to service user properly.

  11. php.conf Simple Editor

We would like a simple text editor for this file:

    /etc/cl.selector/php.conf

This would enable us to edit the configuration faster across servers as well adjusting value and variable type without having to login into server ssh.

I think it's very simple to add without much effor and boost productivity significantly.

  12. Consistency of MEM reporting over lvetop, cpanel graphs, and cpanel reporting.

Currently if a user has a process running which is causing data to be kept in system buffers or caches, cloudlinux works as follows...

lvetop shows none of the memory being used.
cPanel graph shows all of the memory used.
cPanel text shows all of the memory used.

    When the process finishes...

lvetop shows none of the memory being used.
cPanel graph continues to show all of the memory used.
cPanel text shows none of the memory being used.

Gradually as the system buffers or caches clear (can be many hours for large memory)...

cPanel graph slowly returns to 0…

  14. Add reseller ACL to see reseller LVE statistics

We'd like to have a way to see ALL or reseller accounts LVE statistics.
Add an ACL to cPanel Reseller Center (like CSF has) to be able to "at least" see LVE statistics for their reseller owned cPanel accounts.

    In our case:
We have alot of managed cPanel servers. These customers have 1 cPanel Reseller account to create/manage accounts/dns. They do not have root.

As it is now we have to create screenshots or use lveinfo to give them statistics over what is happening with their clients when a server gets low on RAM, CPU etc.

  15. Add brotli_module support to EA4

There is a new compression filter from Google which is slightly better than gzip on both resources and compression.
Google has developed a module for nginx already, however apache only has a module in trunk (2.5).
There is a github project for brotli_module which seems promising. Could you add it to EA4 experimental?

    Information:

  17. Request: Define PHP Selector default version and options for a specific Package Name and/or Feature

I need a way to specify the Default PHP version for a specific cPanel Package. Without changing it manually once a new account is set up.

    Ex:
    - FictionalPackage1 with PHP 5.6
    - FictionalPackage2 with PHP 7.0

  18. Restrict LSPHP to certain paths

We handle a couple of sites every week where the user had an old installation of Wordpress, hidden on a subdomain on a separate folder. Which leads to the whole account being removed/hacked etc. This is quite bothersome as well because there is a lot of sensitive stuff in the users homedir, just as an example, the /ssl folder or /mail.

We had an idea, where maybe we could through .htaccess/.user.ini control which folders lsphp could access, to go even further, maybe even split read/write, in good cases the users actually know what they are doing and they update the…

  20. Store email on a separate partition

It's a duplicate for already existing cPanel feature request:
    https://features.cpanel.net/topic/store-email-on-a-different-partition
but as cPanel development for such option is still not planned.
Maybe it could be done in easier way for cPanel servers using CageFS options so such solution could be transparent to cPanel.
It’s very helpful idea to lower I/O overhead from mail storage, and provide faster adoption for SSD in /home partition for websites.
