  1. Apply CloudLinux 5 security fixes to both STD and Hybrid kernels

I've noticed that our CentOS 5 system has not been receiving kernel updates even though I've seen CL5 kernels go into beta. If I read this correctly, only Hybrid kernels are being patched. While CentOS 5 is supported, I would like to see CL5 support both its kernels.

I am supporting a legacy CentOS 5 server that is in a completely different country. I really can't afford to take a chance installing the Hybrid kernel when the FAQ clearly states that the Hybrid kernel may make the system unable to boot. Please consider applying security patches to the standard kernel…

  2. Support for NodeJS apps

Python Selector is providing Python Support through mod_passenger and virtualenv.

It would be awesome if the same could be done for NodeJS apps, using mod_passenger and nodeenv.

  3. Add mod_lsapi command to generate active domains list

Add modlsapi command to generate active domains list so we can tell which domains have modlsapi active and which do not.

  4. Inode stats or list

    Ref this post:
    http://old.cloudlinux.com/solutions/forum/forum11/topic847/

I would love to see somewhere in WHM that could list all accounts on INODE usage, or somewhere we can find usage under "Statistics" for example under "TOP LVEs".

Another very useful feature will be "Inode Distribution" list where admin/client clearly can see where are located inodes inside an account. Something like it's already available inside "Hostgator" cPanel.

  5. private shared memory inside cageFS

Allowing accounts to utilise shared memory (eg. via /dev/shm) but maintaining the security/privacy that cageFS provides to restrict users seeing/accessing other users files.

This would enable each account to use RAM-backed storage in a secure manner.

  6. Allow to show the CPU limit to final user ...

Now there is no way for users to see how much CPU is allowed to use. They can see 100% value in graphs, but this 100% does not show anywhere how many cores this is. For example 100% for a user might be 400 (4 cores) or 100 (1 core).
Having a user paying extra to use many cores, and not having a way for user to see that they really have them assigned is a problem.
We need a way to show them what they get.

  7. Option to reduce verbosity of LVE memory events in syslog

Currently each time a VE process runs out of memory, dozens of kernel: lines can potentially be added to the syslog. When these events are occuring due to an attack on a website, for example, it can create a lot of log data. Provide the facility to limit/disable the information logged.

  10. Additional disable php functions list

I believe it would be a nice feature to add possibility in PHP Selector to add additional php function per user that you want to disable.

Right now you can add the "disable_functions" directive in /etc/cl.selector/php.conf file and it allows you to edit the function list which is disabled by default. Which is great, but it also may reduce security, since it allows to modify all the list.

What I would suggest is to create a new directive additionaldisablefunction_list.

What would it do? It would allow to manage additional disablefunction list. This could work like an extension

  11. CloudLinux CVE updates

It would be nice if we can get a option to subscribe to all CloudLinux CVE updates and get notified when there is a new one. This is really helpful when we have lot of different types of systems in the infrastructure and keep track of the patches released for each type. This feature is already available for RHEL and it is really helpful.

  12. [security] add option to only allow caged users

We only allow caged users, so we set the default for users to be in a cage. Actually we have no use-case for users not in the cage, as this would mean a security risk.
We would like to have an option that, when turned on, disables users as soon as they would not be in a cage. Example:
I run the command cagefsctl --reinit
As it is currently, for some time the users will be outside their cages, where they can learn valuable information that would normally not be possible.
What I want in this situation is that at…

  13. PHP Selector compatibility with Nginx

    Hey guys,

Rather surprised that Nginx isn't compatible out of the box for Cloudlinux features since its one of the biggest softwares on the web serving market and is far superior than apache.

Its been a year or so since we've waited and hoped for an update. I am sure I speak for many many others who are interested in this feature.

It would be excellent for this to happen. Thanks guys!

  14. Add a setting to exclude sites/accounts from cPanel backup based on their inode counts.

Please add setting to exclude sites/accounts from cPanel backup based on their inode counts. This will reduce load on shared servers for huge account backups.
