Burst Limits - LVE Manager
Hi,
I would like to make a suggestion for a possible future feature which you may like to include for CloudLinux.
As websites become more and more popular, sometimes accounts require more resources than allocated, I think it would be a good idea to add burst limits to CloudLinux LVE Manager, in which hosting providers can choose whether or not to enable these burst limits, and what to enable them on.
For example, hosts could choose to set the normal SPEED Limit to 30%, but then allow the account to burst up to a maximum of 50% for a set amount of time (eg a maximum of 1 hour per week, per day, per month etc).

Definitely this is a MUST.
In fact, I've seen other hosting companies claiming they use LVE manager and they allow customers to "burst" to more CPU, Memory, but if this isn't working, they're obviously lying.
We'd appreciate if you guys expedite this implementation.

I agree with this.
Hard and Soft Limit settings would be fantastic.
Soft Limit of 50%
Hard Limit of 100%
duration of burst = 10 secondsall 3 settings would be customization and able to set through LVE manager AND panel extensions like Plesk LVE manager extension
Limits that this should this should apply to are:
- IOPS
- IO
- CPU
- Physical Memory
- Entry Processes (not as important)Thanks

This would be really useful, particularly for IO.

I totally agree with this feature, hope CL will consider it.

Agreed, this would be useful for CPU and IO.
For me, the way CL implemented burst resources for MySQL Governor would be enough though
