Apply CloudLinux 5 security fixes to both STD and Hybrid kernels
I've noticed that our CentOS 5 system has not been receiving kernel updates even though I've seen CL5 kernels go into beta. If I read this correctly, only Hybrid kernels are being patched. While CentOS 5 is supported, I would like to see CL5 support both its kernels.
I am supporting a legacy CentOS 5 server that is in a completely different country. I really can't afford to take a chance installing the Hybrid kernel when the FAQ clearly states that the Hybrid kernel may make the system unable to boot. Please consider applying security patches to the standard kernel and making them as secure as CentOS 5 is without CL5.
